Mega Ball Game Show Review
Lots of casino software providers have had a crack at live baccarat, blackjack, and roulette games. A few have even tinkered with money wheel, table poker and craps/dice games. Only Evolution Gaming and Ezugi have been bold enough to tackle a bingo-style game where you bet on numbers. Mega Ball is Evolution Gaming’s entry, and it is one of their “game show” range of live casino titles that you can find at cryptocurrency casinos across the internet.
Mega Ball is essentially a live dealer game of bingo, but it is a lot more glamorous and stylish than conventional video bingo games that you can find online. If that wasn’t enough, there is also a set of multipliers which can really spice things up. Like with most live dealer games, you can follow the action as it occurs with a series of high-quality HD cameras. To make the game more exciting, those bingo balls travel down a series of transparent tubes, making the game last longer and increasing both the tension and the excitement.
While Mega Ball is not to be confused with Mega Lottery Ball, there are similar games out there that you can play at top bitcoin betting sites. As mentioned, Ezugi’s Bet on Numbers is not exactly a like-for-like game, but it does have similarities with this release. However, Mega Ball is far more bingo-based than most of its counterparts.
Theme and Design
Mega Ball looks like virtually every other title in Evolution Gaming’s “game show” portfolio. There is a human host, they will talk and natter their way through the game, keeping you entertained as those balls are dropped. The game itself is usually streamed from Riga, Latvia, although additional venues are in the pipeline.
First unveiled at ICE in 2020, Mega Ball (sometimes known as Mega Ball 100x) is a glamorous game where gameplay takes place in mere seconds. However, the addition of multipliers makes the game a lot more prosperous than conventional bingo entries and easier to win than a typical lottery or keno game. With that said, let’s explore how you play Mega Ball.
Specs and Gameplay
You’ll find all sorts of betting buttons on the screen, with stakes typically costing between 0.10 up to 100.00 a card or the equivalent in cryptocurrencies if you are playing with those stakes. Each card consists of a 5×5 grid and, therefore, has twelve lines on it. The middle of the card is blank, acting as a wild of sorts. You can purchase up to 200 cards, with single cards, and units of ten, fifteen and twenty-five available.
One of the critical things that differentiate this from a traditional bingo game is the change number feature. If the betting window is still open (green), you can choose to change the numbers on your cards if you don’t like them. Just hit the “refresh” button to do that. Once the betting window shuts, the game gets underway.
A total of twenty balls (out of the fifty-one available) will be drawn in each game. Once a ball is drawn, any matches on your cards are automatically highlighted. You’ll be looking to complete lines here (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) across as many cards as you can. The more matches you have, the better your prizes will be. Any prizes that are won will be automatically paid out. On a single line, it is possible to win up to 10,000x a bet. However, six or more lines could see you win up to 100,000x a bet in this game, with an RTP rate of 95.4%.
However, before you can pocket your winnings (which are displayed on a paytable), there is the small matter of bonus balls. This is where the real fun happens, and we’ll detail that next.
Another one of the main features that help distinguish Mega Ball from conventional bingo games is the use of bonus balls. A Mega Ball Multiplier is first selected. This spinning wheel will apply a multiplier ranging from 5x up to 100x. The figure it lands on is then deemed to be the Mega Ball Multiplier that is in play.
Now, the host will draw one of the final thirty-one remaining balls from the machine. This Mega Ball will now have the Mega Ball Multiplier attached to it. If this number is the one you need to complete a line, the multiplier will be applied to your prize.
On occasion, a second Mega Ball Multiplier and Mega Ball will be drawn. If you manage to complete lines with both balls, you’ll receive a payout for the highest-ranking of the multipliers. As mentioned, prizes could rise as high as 100,000x a bet here.
Once the Mega Balls have played their part (if any), the results will be displayed, and any prizes paid out. Other features you can check out playing this game include the “numbers needed to win” stat, ball histories, paytables and an autoplay feature.
Evolution Gaming’s Mega Ball is quite a wonderous addition to their “game show” library. Not only does the game provide you with a real-to-life bingo game, but it also gives you the tools to magnify your wins to the extent that you are unlikely to find in any other bingo game. The game is readily affordable for fiat and cryptocurrency players alike and is mobile-friendly, to boot.
Ultimately, you might think that playing a game such as this would be far less challenging and a touch less exciting than, say, playing live dealer blackjack or roulette. You’d be mistaken, though. There’s plenty of excitement waiting for the balls to drop through the tube and even more tension once those Mega Ball multipliers are announced. Mega Ball is, therefore, a game we highly recommend.
