Red Tiger, founded in 2014, has been on a hot streak of game releases in 2021. Averaging nearly a game a week, they are constantly on the new slots list with multiple entries. As someone who loves new and shiny things, Red Tiger catches my eye quite often, and today is no exception. While it’s not their next slot in line for release, Pirates’ Plenty Megaways is definitely the one that has me excited.

Theme & Design – Specs & Gameplay

Pirates’ Plenty Megaways (PPM) is the third installment in the Pirates’ Plenty series. The 2 predecessors have shared a similar style and features in the form of a thieving wild monkey that scoops up low paying symbols to become a multiplier wild and a map quest to unlock either a new row or new reel. PPM will continue the adventures of Lady Anne into the Megaways universe. The game board will look familiar to fans of the previous games, with a ship sailing towards an X on a map that covers the top row. Collecting maps on the reels moves the ship towards its destination, unlocking the top row, and unlocking Wild Ways. As with other Red Tiger Megaways, PPM has cascading wins that will drop new symbols onto the board after each line connection.

Once unlocked, the top row can bring Lady Anne Wild Ways into view. When Lady Anne slides into the top row, she will expand the full reel below her and add a 3x-8x multiplier wild that becomes sticky until it is involved in a win.

Landing 3 scatter symbols awards 9 free spins (plus 3 spins for each extra scatter for a max 18 initial free spins). The bonus can retrigger an unlimited number of times during the bonus round for 9 more spins each time 3 scatters land. The free spins are similar to other Red Tiger Megaways titles, such as Piggy Riches or Wild Reels, with an increasing sticky multiplier for each successful cascade after a win. Entering the bonus round after unlocking the top row makes for some exciting gameplay. Reaching a high multiplier and dropping a few full reel wilds can add up for some amazing wins.

Verdict

Pirates Plenty Megaways doesn’t do too much new, but it does take a successful slot series and put a new spin on it. I personally can’t help but get excited when a slot advertises 2 words: cascading Megaways. Pirates’ Plenty Megaways brings those 2 words to a series that I have enjoyed for a while now. I cannot wait for April 24^th to jump into this one. Bringing the mini features from the other 2 games in the series will be exciting to see as you collect your maps to sail across in search of massive wild connections and the hopes of a 10000x win. Also, who doesn’t love a pirate monkey who gives you bigger wins!?
