The game recently released by Fantasma, Elemento, continues this trend. A 9×9 board is filled with symbols and faces akin to Reactoonz characters that join for cluster wins and cascading reels. The board is surrounded by a border of wild symbols that are activated by 4 random power symbols. Connecting a cluster to one of these symbols activates it and cause an elemental effect to try and keep the reels cascading continuing the spin. Connect at least one of each element to a cluster to enter free spins.

The 4 elemental mini features are Fire Wilds, X-Flood, Demolition and Tornado.
Fire Wilds: 2-10 symbols are burned randomly around the board to become wilds.
X-Flood: An X-shaped stream of water fires from a position on the board to cause 9 symbols to become the same. This can occur up to 2 times from one activation.
Demolition: This feature activates 1-4 times causing 1 low paying symbol to be shaken from the board each time.
Tornado: Sends out a whirlwind to a randomly selected symbol on the board and blows the surrounding symbols away and adding up to 9 of the selected symbol in the newly opened spaced before cascading. This feature can occur twice from a single activation.
Free Spins: Activating at least 1 of each power awards the player 5 free spins plus 1 free spin for each power activated (min 9 free spins total). During free spins each successful cascade increases a sticky multiplier that stays for the remainder of the bonus round. Activating 1 of each power awards the player extra free spins based on the number of powers activated.
Verdict
Elemento is vibrant, fresh and enjoyable to spin. When a power is activated an announcer that reminded me of my days playing Halo 2 enters the audio to say the name of the activated power. The volatility of the slot feels fairly high as in an hour of doing bonus buys, all but 1 bonus ended in a loss. The potential, however, is high with a max win of 16000x. Highlight videos have emerged showing that the free spins feature can reach astronomical multipliers if you are lucky enough to continue collecting spins. While I have not personally collected a jackpot feature, I plan to continue enjoying the entertainment this slot offers.
