Just over a year after we published multiple warnings about Betnomi — a crypto gambling site that vanished with user funds — its successor BaseBet.io appears to be following the same shady playbook.
We previously covered:
Now, it’s time for another update — and it’s not looking good.
User Reports: Withdrawals Blocked, Deposits Missing
Multiple users have reported that they can no longer withdraw funds from BaseBet.io. In fact, new deposits don’t seem to be credited to user accounts at all — a clear sign that something is seriously wrong.
These issues have persisted for weeks. Some users first noticed withdrawal problems in early May, and now, in June 2025, they remain unresolved.
The $BBT Token — A Classic Scam?
As if that weren’t enough, BaseBet also launched a proprietary token — $BBT — in late 2024. Marketed with promises of:
- VIP perks
- Higher rewards
- Staking features
- Buyback-and-burn deflationary mechanics
… the token turned out to be just another distraction — and quite possibly a tool for a pump-and-dump scheme.
Several users who invested in the token now claim that they were left holding worthless bags. There are no exchange listings, no liquidity, and the token appears to be abandoned. Reports suggest even some employees and token promoters were not paid for months before realizing something was off.
Same People, Same Playbook
The name behind BaseBet.io — Sorsis Chatwin — is the same person behind Betnomi. This pattern of launching a promising-looking gambling platform, building user trust, and then slowly pulling the rug when enough funds are gathered appears to be repeating itself.
As we previously warned, simply rebranding or launching a new site doesn’t erase bad intentions. And once again, players are the ones paying the price.
What We’ve Seen So Far
- Withdrawals blocked
- Deposits not credited
- A failed, now-worthless token ($BBT)
- Zero communication or transparency from the operator
- Reports of insiders and promoters also being scammed

And there are many more. A quick search on X (formerly Twitter) reveals a pattern of silence, broken promises, and missing funds.
BTCGOSU’s Position
BaseBet.io is now officially blacklisted on BTCGOSU.
We urge all users to avoid the platform entirely, not engage with any of their ongoing promotions, and never purchase or hold $BBT tokens.
If you or someone you know has been affected, feel free to reach out. We will continue to speak up and provide visibility when platforms abuse user trust.
Stay safe. Stay vigilant. The crypto gambling space still has too many bad actors — but we’re committed to calling them out.
