So, on those bases, it has more credibility than many other crypto casinos, and that is enough for us to call it legit.

On November 3rd, 2024, MetaWin CEO Skel announced that the platform had gotten hacked and lost $4 million due to a breach in its hot wallets. On-chain investigator ZackXBT traced the stolen funds to KuCoin and HitBTC, linking over 115 addresses to the attacker. The incident caused withdrawals to get paused for all users, but they quickly got resumed.

The MetaWin privacy policy is detailed enough, outlining user rights clearly, and emphasizes compliance with legal obligations. Twitter giveaways are also a thing on this hub, and you usually have to follow the official profile, tag friends, and adhere to other instructions given to win prizes like bonus funds and free spins through these promotions.

They are clear, but there is no general bonus terms page.

Website design

The design of the MetaWin website is not super slick. It’s okay, but there is text in banners and certain parts of the site that looks a bit amateur. We are talking about the font choices and sizes used. The logo of this brand is also not very high-end, and there is something off about the site itself. Some of the text is too thick, some of the colors used do not mesh together. It needs a makeover to make it appear more professional. It has black and dark backgrounds with blues and oranges as contrast colors, but these do not provide much contrast. Nor do they pop much.

Ease of use

You get the same-ole crypto casino layout here: a left-side pull-out menu, a top navigation bar, a right-side public chat, a traditional footer, and the page content organized in a grid structure in the middle of your desktop screen. It is all very par for the course, and we doubt anyone with even the slightest level of experience in online gambling will struggle much to reach what they need to here. There is a game search field at the top, and the deposit and profile buttons are in the top-right corners. You can pull out the left-side menu and the public chat.

Speed & technical performance

For some reason, the right-side public chat panel never loaded in our browser. We do not know what that was, but this was the only major technical issue we faced when using this site, which showed respectable speeds.

What’s the Customer Support like at MetaWin?

There is no MetaWin live chat, and no support email. That sucks. If you want help, your primary option is to head to the Arena Discord and pop your question there, hoping that someone on that server will answer it.

Thankfully, there is a MetaWin FAQ section, which gets divided into six categories. These are Crash, Web3 Wallet, Custodial Wallet, Competitions, Drops and Wins, and the $100,000 Weekly Wagering Race. In total, there are 50 frequently asked questions across these topics, and some were handy to us personally when using this site. Still, this part of the MetaWin website does not compare to top-end help centers. Accordingly, we must say that the degree of customer assistance given out at MetaWin was disappointing. The answers we got in the Discord were not very helpful, and we do not think they came from the MetaWin staff, but from other users.

Yet, guess what? We did a little digging and discovered a MetaWin Help Center with fifty-eight articles – https://help.metawin.com/en. Huh. We assumed management decided to phase out this aid section for some reason some time back. But, we saw that some of the articles here had been recently updated, so we are unsure why this center does not get more advertising.

Mobile gaming experience

Of course, there is no MetaWin app. The mobile version of this website took some time to load on our Samsung phone. It would not load at all on an older one, for whatever reason. It felt a bit cluttered on a smartphone screen, primarily due to the developers trying to fit too much text in the responsive version at one time, and much of the text being too thick and compact. The text sizes in the bottom screen navigation bar/menu seem off and from there, you can get quick access to the main site areas. In truth, we do not know how to feel about the mobile experience we got here, as we struggled with some load times, and were not super comfortable using the smartphone version of this site, which otherwise was functional.

Is MetaWin available in any local languages?

No, it does not appear to be available in any other language than English, which is surprising.

How does MetaWin compare against its closest competitors?

We would call Dexsport MetaWin’s main competitor, as this is another Web3 platform, but one with a much better sense of identity. It has a distinct graphic style that it uses in its banners, boasts a more modern design, has a welcome bonus, sports betting, a native token, and many other things not featured at MetaWin. These two hubs have comparable casino lobbies, and MetaWin has a few unique aspects, like its contests, markets, HODL, that are not to be found at Dexsport, which we would rank as better than this site.

What countries are restricted from playing?

This is a bit complicated, as MetaWin terms note that residents of the US, Comoros, Netherlands, Austria, Bonaire, United Kingdom, Germany, Aruba, France, Curaçao, Australia, Spain, all FATF blacklisted countries, and any other jurisdictions deemed prohibited by the Anjouan Offshore Financial Authority are forbidden to access this site. These are so-called absolute restricted territories.

Under the T&C section where the above-mentioned countries get listed, there is another with the same subheading – Restricted Regions and Territories, and this one, given the context, seems to concern Pragmatic Play. But it has a list of blocked countries and a list of restricted ones. We do not understand what the difference is here. The blocked ones are the USA, North Korea, Taiwan, India, Singapore, Australia, France, Israel, the Philippines, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates. The restricted are the Bahamas, Belgium, Bulgaria, Colombia, Denmark, Greece, Gibraltar, Lithuania, Canada, Ontario, the UK, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, South Africa, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Ukraine, and the Netherlands.

The T&C has a list of excluded jurisdictions for competitions, it includes – Algeria, Angola, Afghanistan, Burma, Belarus, Central African Republic, Congo, Cuba Eritrea, Haiti, Iraq, Iran, Kyrgystan, Lebanon, Libya, North Korea, Palestine State, Rwanda, Republic of Ireland, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, South Sudan, Venezuela, Yemen, Zimbabwe and the US states of Nevada, Washington, Georgia, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, and South Dakota.

Conclusion

We had seen MetaWin crypto casino discussed on Bitcointalk before writing this casino review, and we have been following its CEO Richard Skelhorn for a while on Insta, but have not dove deep into analyzing this platform. It is a good one, listing games from providers like Pragmatic Play and Evolution Gaming, with the former even running games for this brand, especially. That is not something you see every day.

MetaWin stands out on account of its integration of Web3 wallets, its blockchain-based competitions, provably fair Originals, active communities on Discord and Telegram, and third-party tournaments. We also like that its CEO reimbursed affected users after the 2024 hack. That is a great sign of credibility. We just wish that this hub would show its users it cares about them by upping its support game, which is severely lacking. Something else that is lacking here is 2FA and account limit tools. The platform can also use some more traditional promos and see if it can ease up on the KYC.

It will soon introduce a token, and with that, staking may follow. That is one thing we must point out again about MetaWin – it looks to make itself different and stay on top of crypto gambling trends. Maybe it does some of these things a bit late, but it does attempt to enhance what it supplies to users and that is important.

Now, while MetaWin is not the type of brand we would go after, we are sure that it will have its fans among our reader pool, people who crave the type of features that it employs. There is an audience for this, as evident by what we saw in the official Discord. It is going to have to ramp up its game selection, promotions, and customer support before we take it a bit more seriously, but overall, this seems like a good site. One that is a bit rough around the edges, but continuously looking to improve, and a brand we have no doubt will be much better a year from now. Thus, explore it if you are into the kind of stuff it likes to dish out to crypto gamblers.
