Sandbox Casino Review

Curacao-based Cyber Galaxy B.V. owns and operates SandBox casino. That company shares the same platform as Owl.Games, a self-proclaimed Web 3.0 crypto casino. As far as we can tell, these are the only two gambling sites this operator controls. Based on our research Cyber Galaxy B.V. started the SandBox casino in late 2021, giving it a Japanese-infused cyber-punk theme. Currently, the site is only available in English, but it accepts sixteen cryptos and has a game library of over sixteen hundred products. There aren’t a ton of stand-alone promotions here, but the VIP scheme provides perks like cashback and level-up bonuses.

First Impressions

Presentation-wise, the SandBox casino looks decent. Its element configuration is a bit unusual, as it uses similar organization concepts as most other casinos but lays them out a bit differently on its homepage. The color palette used heavily relies on purples, with splashes of pink here and there. There is a hint of neon-like effects scattered on the site, in graphics and text. However, while acceptable, the platform has a clumsily put-together vibe.

You can join the SandBox casino by connecting via MetaMask, using WalletConnect, or signing up the traditional way, through email.

Once you are a full-fledged SandBox gambler, you may want to try your hand at the public chat and see if there is someone there that can provide tips regarding the best way to use this site. If that is not an option, there isn’t much else to do but deposit and play.

Games offered by SandBox

The SandBox game lobby lists that it is home to more than 1,600 games. These get supplied by around forty-five providers and get divided into various categories. The one that grabbed our interest was the SandBox originals department. Inside this tab, we found two proprietary, provably fair picks. These are a classic dice game and X-Roulette. The latter has extremely rudimentary gameplay and is more or less another form of crypto dice. You pick a multiplier between 1.01 and a million, place the amount you wish to wager, and choose an over or under result. Dice and X-Roulette have dedicated pages where you can verify the fairness of each outcome.

There are around thirteen hundred slots on this site. Some of the most famous reel-spinning providers in this industry have their titles here, including NetEnt, Pragmatic Play, Red Tiger, Playson, and Wazdan.

BSG, Pragmatic, Habanero, Belatra, Evoplay, Nucleus, and TomHorn Gaming are responsible for the RNG-powered table products, of which there are less than a hundred here. The live lobby features only products from Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live, thirty-five altogether from both providers. These range from traditional card games and classic casino products to novel game-show options.

What is unique about this platform is that it has a casual games section, where over thirty games live, a mix of creative card options, provably fair picks, and retro arcade products. Evoplay and KAGaming stand out as the companies with the most games in this SandBox gaming tab.

Easy Access

There is no SandBox casino app. Though, that is not a massive problem as the SandBox casino mobile version works well enough. It is not maybe the most eye-pleasing piece of dedicated smartphone software for gaming fun we have come across, but it does its job. It is pretty much what you get when you resize your desktop browser to a portable device screen ratio.

We tested the SandBox mobile version on several Android devices and found that it worked pretty well on pretty much all of them except one. It would not load on a 2015 smartphone running on an Android 5 OS. On the more modern devices, all the games ran fine. We are not excluding the possibility that this may be a problem on our end. Still, we felt it is worth a mention.

Deposits & Withdrawals

The SandBox accepts sixteen cryptos. We present the full list below, utilizing the crypto’s respective codes and their minimum deposit limits:

  • BTC – the equivalent of $5.
  • BCH – the equivalent of $5.
  • LTC – the equivalent of $5.
  • ETH – the equivalent of $5.
  • XRP – the equivalent of $5.
  • ADA – the equivalent of $5.
  • DOGE – the equivalent of $5.
  • XLM – the equivalent of $5.
  • USDO – 0.0000001
  • MATIC – 0.00001
  • BNB – 0.00001
  • USDT – 0.01
  • USDC – 0.01
  • BUSD – 0.01
  • SHIB – 0.01
  • XBN – 0.1
  • XBLADE – 1

If you are depositing through a wallet connect such as MetaMask, then there are no minimum limits for funding your account.

Deposits incur the standard network transfer speeds, par for the course for each respective coin. Withdrawals can and will necessitate longer wait periods. The casino’s payment system automatically processes withdrawal requests. But, in specific cases, a security alert may get triggered, causing a manual audit during regular office hours.

The daily withdrawal limit here is the equivalent of $10,000 per account. After speaking with a customer representative, he informed us that there are no withdrawal restrictions for higher-end VIPs.

The SandBox lets users select one of four decentralized networks for payments. These are Ethereum, Polygon, BSC, and Fantom. The platform reserves the right to make you go through a KYC procedure when effecting deposits into your account. The process could include taking selfies with documents or other forms of identification. They can even call you up to verify that you are who you say you claim to be. If you do not comply with their request in two weeks, your account will get locked.

SandBox Bonuses & Promotions

At the time of writing, there is no SandBox welcome bonus. Nevertheless, the site runs a 1 BTC Prize Pool Giveaway. The main participation requirement is that over five hundred members join this contest and that each one deposits over $55 on this site before its expiration date, April 30th, 2022. Those that do this get issued tickets for a draw where the top winner claims a prize of 0.5 BTC.

The SandBox casino is also heavily into betting races, where the top ten competitors get their share out of a fixed prize pool. When we examined this site, a monthly race was happening, where the rewards pool stood at $500 USDT, and the main prize was $125 USDT. You should find similar contests here at all times.

Yes, there is a SandBox affiliate program, and it pays a commission based on the NGR KPI. If it is in the $10,000 to $20,000 monthly range, the commission rate will be 20%. If it is in the $20,000 to $30,000 monthly range, the commission rate will be 25%.

VIP Program

The SandBox VIP program has one hundred levels. You move up this ladder based on your betting activity, and each tier carries a specific level-up bonus and a cashback percentage.

The level bonuses in the SandBox loyalty scheme range from 0.1 USDT to one billion, and the cashback starts at 5% and can grow up to 40% in the system’s final level. The cashback here expectedly gets called Rakeback, calculated on daily wagered amounts. It expires after one day.

You need to bet $10 to ascend to level two of the loyalty scheme here, and you can check your progress by clicking the Rewards button at the top of your profile drop-down menu.

SandBox Customer Support

The SandBox live chat runs on Intercom, and it is not available 24/7. The working hours are 04:00 UTC – 16:00 UTC. When we accessed it, a bot informed us that someone would get back to us later today. We still posted our questions in the Intercom window and activated an option to have the site staff get back to us later. We inputted our email address and asked to receive a notification when this would occur. The response came to our inbox in four hours. You can access this window through an icon in the lower-left corner of your screen on a desktop computer. Or by pressing an icon at the bar at the bottom of your screen when browsing this site’s mobile version.

The SandBox terms and conditions page states that the platform support email is and that representatives monitor this email 24/7 and check it even on holidays. However, going by our attempt of establishing SandBox casino email contact, we had to wait over four hours before getting a reply. Please note that our email request was not the same as the one sent through the live chat window.

Note that there is no SandBox FAQ page. But there is a mini-help center powered by GitBook, that you can search. It mainly consists of various terms and conditions pages, plus a few separate questions and answers. All in all, we cannot say that the SandBox customer support options wowed us.

Cyber Galaxy B.V. operates this casino under a license attained by Antillephone, one of Curacao’s four master license holders, authorized by the Government of Curacao to issue sub-licenses to whom it deems fit to offer interactive gaming services globally. In the case of a dispute, Antillephone urges players to seek a resolution first with the SandBox casino before turning to them looking for mediation.

E1 issues SandBox’s security certificate, which lists that this platform utilizes an ECC (256 Bits) Key to encrypt player data. That is elliptic-curve cryptography technology, equivalent to RSA 3072 bit keys. Thus, it is more than enough to keep user info secure.

The privacy policy here is pretty decent, outlining that this site complies with AML (anti-money laundering) and CFT (combating the financing of terrorism) laws. There is nothing too out of the ordinary here. Although, the page says that this casino has appointed a data protection officer. Nevertheless, the link to his email is not functional. There is no option to set up 2FA here.

GOSU Conclusion

To us, SandBox casino feels a bit unfinished. Unpolished, if you will. We cannot knock the game selection on this site, as it is what we expect to find at higher-end casinos, but the overall design here, the lack of an FAQ page, and the limited profile options are things we do fancy. Still, we like to post these reviews early. That means that many of our analyses are of young platforms, works in progress. We will undoubtedly revisit SandBox casino relatively soon. Until then, they can work on improving their customer support, boosting account customization options, enriching the site’s promo section, and adding some design tweaks. The casino, as is, works fine and seems reputable enough, but we believe that it can be a lot better fairly soon if Cyber Galaxy puts in the legwork necessary. It has a good foundation. It now only needs to build on it.
