Chips.gg

Chips.gg began operations on August 30th, 2020, and it did so by proclaiming to be the ultimate crypto casino. While it may not be quite there yet, it made a formidable debut. Chipsoft B.V. operates this platform, which has a gaming license from Curacao eGaming. It’s currently only available in English, accepts four cryptos, and has a library of over one thousand games. As soon as Chips.gg premiered, it instantly got over 4,000 Twitter followers and has a growing presence on Discord, Reddit, and Telegram.

First Impressions

When you open the site, you get the Chips.gg (for some probably) unoriginal logo spinning on your screen as the home page loads. Design-wise, everything is nicely spaced out, and the grey background provides adequate contrast for all the saturated imagery. The left-side navigation bar is a bit distracting, but it works. However, to access your account menu, you’ll have to pull out the right-side panel that comes with a group chat.

To register, you’ll have to enter a username, password, email, your birthday, and confirm that you accept the terms and conditions. After you do that, the site will redirect you to a login window, and you’ll have to input your username and password to begin your Chips.gg journey.

Immediately, head over to your account page to set up 2FA and verify your email. At the moment, the group chat seems inactive, so it’s best to start exploring on your own.

Games offered by Chips.gg

When on the subject of Chips.gg games, we have a lot of ground to cover. The platform marketed its release saying that it’s home to over a thousand games. In all honesty, we couldn’t count them all, but we believe this to be accurate.

Currently, the site only has one classic crypto game, a dice one. You can find it under the category Chips Originals, the only game there. Not much to say about it. It’s a dice game. You set a number (0-100), select an under or over amount, and roll. Depending on what you pick, the game will display your chance of winning and the payout multiplier before your dice roll.

Now, onto the slot side of things, Chips.gg lists that it has games from 22 slot providers, including names such as Microgaming, Red Tiger Gaming, Playson, Pragmatic Play, Wazdan, and more. The site features a dedicated Megaways section where you can find 38 of these games.

In the live casino section, there are 46 games from Evolution Gaming. However, these are not all of the live dealer games on the site, as there are more in two other tabs. In the Live Game Show tab, you can find nine Evolution games, including Football Studio and Deal or No Deal. In the Live Poker segment of the site, there are nine casino-poker variations, also, all from Evolution Gaming.

You can also enjoy nineteen Bingo games here, mainly from Caleta Gaming, and fifteen skill-based games, all from Evoplay Entertainment.

Easy Access

There is no Chips.gg mobile app, for now. So, we opened the Chips.gg mobile version via our Android phone (Android Pie) through Chrome. Right of the bat, we noticed that what you get through a mobile device differs from what you see through a desktop browser. The website is responsive, but no matter how much you resize it, you do not lose the left-side navigation bar. On a mobile phone, this turns into a drop-down menu, which is a far more useful option. That aside, the web version is similar to the desktop one.

Visually, this is a rare instance where almost everything we saw was a perfect size for a mobile screen. However, when we accessed the site, it took it a while to load. Then some of the game pages also took their time loading, and the promo banner animations seem choppy. We played a few of the Megaways games, and while they worked, at times, the animations here also lagged. That said, everything worked. It may not have been at the speed we hoped, but maybe this was a one-time thing because, at the time of our review, the site was facing some difficulty, as noted in the group chat.

Deposits & Withdrawals

As far as deposit and Chips.gg withdrawal options go, the platform allows the use of four cryptocurrencies, but they have plans on adding more shortly. Currently, you can fund your account here with the following cryptos:

  • Bitcoin
  • Ethereum
  • Tron
  • Tether

To make a deposit, you have to open the Cashier window from the left-side navigation bar and stay on the deposit tab. Some great news here: There is no minimum deposit amount for either crypto. When depositing, each method has to go through a specific number of confirmations before it gets credited to a player’s account. For Bitcoin, this number is one. For Ethereum, Tron, and Tether, that number is five.

Withdrawals happen in the second tab in the Cashier window. The minimum withdrawal limit for Bitcoin is 0.002 BTC. For Ethereum, it is 0.1 ETH. For Tron, it is 500 TRX, and for Tether, it is 10 USDT. All withdrawals come with a withdrawal fee. For Bitcoin, this fee is 0.0002 BTC. For Ethereum, it is 0.001 ETH and for Tron, it is 1 TRX, and for Tether, it is 0.1 USDT.

The site may require users to go through a KYC verification procedure before they make a withdrawal. If you win over 1 BTC, then you’ll have to go through this step. If someone wins 25 BTC or more, the casino reserves the right to provide the payout in weekly installments of 25 BTC, until the full amount gets paid out. Players can make a withdrawal once every 15 minutes here.

Chips.gg Bonuses & Promotions

At the moment, there are no classic mainstay Chips.gg promotions, the likes you have seen elsewhere. The platform’s current promotional offer consists mostly of events. Know that Chips.gg debuted proclaiming that it will kick things off with a 500k Launch, where, during the first two months of the casino’s existence, it would host multiple events, which will altogether give away $500,000 in prizes.

The massive promotion began on August 30th, and some of these events were races, where players bet to claim a top spot on a leaderboard en route to prizes. There was also a raffle event, where for every $1000 bet on the site, players earned a ticket, that gained them entry into a draw for a Tesla Cyber Truck. We mention these past events as a way to illustrate what players can expect to get here as the site develops.

Given that the site is so young, we expect that soon it will feature a vast array of promotional deals. The staff advertises that a Friday Free Spins promotion is coming soon, where players will get their spins based on their level. The feature has yet to make it onto the site, and it will become available once an achievement system is in place.

The site also has a referral program where you can invite friends and build your Chips Crew. If they register via your unique referral code, the casino will reward you 0.2% of their winnings.

VIP Program

Is there a Chips.gg VIP program? Well, here’s where things get a bit complicated. The platform uses a unique system to reward those that stay and play here.

Know that when playing here, you earn Chips, which are reward tokens. You earn these based on your activity on the site. Meaning, how much you bet on any game. So, if you make one $10 bet or ten $1 bets, you’ll get the same amount of Chips. Once you earn Chips, you should lock them in the Vault. Locked Chips allow you to receive a percentage of the Vault’s pool, and you can view all the necessary information in the Vault tab.

Every twelve hours, 50% of the Vault’s content gets distributed, half to the staff, and a half to those players that locked their chips in it. The other 50% rolls over to the next day so that one doesn’t start at zero. How much you get depends on the size of the pool and how many Chips you’ve locked. The process happens automatically. So, when the time comes, your payout gets credited instantly to your account.

If you want, you can unlock your locked chips, or unstack them as the site calls it, by selecting the Dividends tab inside the Vault window.

Chips.gg Customer Support

When we first opened the site, we noticed that members in the group chat were complaining about customer support. At first access, we couldn’t create an account, so we decided that this was the perfect opportunity to test the Chips.gg live chat. Within five minutes, a support representative got back to us. He told us to wait a while and that he would fix our issue. Within three to four minutes, he did. So, our live chat experience was pleasant.

Now, we didn’t see email among the Chips.gg support options, but within the terms and conditions, it says that for any security-related or payment issue, you can establish Chips.gg contact at – [email protected] You can also use this email for account problems, so it’s the unofficial email for support related issues.

There’s a Chips.gg FAQ page. It features seven categories that are home to 36 FAQs. Navigation on this page may prove to be a slight pain in the neck, but all the questions and answers are of satisfactory quality. The address common issues in-depth, and many even have bulleted lists.

Security

On the website, it says that ChipSoft B.V. runs Chips.gg crypto casino under the gaming license 1668/JAZ. That is the license number for Curaçao eGaming, one of the four Curacao master license holders. While often considered among the better half of the four, in 2016, there were issues with casinos licensed by Curacao eGaming using pirated software. Many players were unhappy with how the master license holder handled the situation. So, while more-or-less a credible organization, it is not among the best in the sphere.

The platform utilizes advanced encryption with an ECC Key (256 Bits) to protect data entered on the site. It also advocates that players set-up a strong password and 2FA. A dedicated Privacy Policy page is going to be added shortly and in addition to that, Chips.gg reserves a six-paragraph section in its terms for how the site handles player information. There, Chips.gg states that it complies with the Data Protection Act and promises not to share your information with third-parties. It also explains that it uses cookies to track your visits.

If you want to know how you can validate the fairness of a game’s result, there’s a dedicated page for that, which you can access via a link in the site’s footer.

GOSU Conclusion

Pros / Cons
  • Excellent game variety
  • Nice design
  • Mobile-friendly
  • Slow mobile version

Is it too early to pass judgment on Chips.gg? Well, we can tell you what the platform features right now, but seeing as its continuously improving, things may look very different by the time this review finds you. For example, management has announced plans on integrating a native sportsbook. They aim to accomplish this feat by the end of 2020. The site also aims to roll out new promotions and a new loyalty scheme. While we cannot wait to see all those things, we can say that now, as is, Chips.gg is an impressive crypto gaming site. It features a ton of games and terrific game variety. The staff is molding other aspects of the platform as we speak, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds. We recommend you pop in from time to time to observe the progress Chips is making and find out if it grows to become the ultimate crypto casino.

The site works great, i like the layout and styling of the menu. It has all the popular slots, live casino, game shows many people love and more providers are getting added weekly. The Vault feature is amazing. I’ve played on a lot of sites before but cant say i’ve seen it before. With every dollar i wager i earn Chips, which i lock in the Vault and basically receive a share of the casino’s profit every day.

the GUI is so intuitive and user-friendly, the amount of slots just incredible! (over 1000 slots), top providers, live casino shows(monopoly, crazy time, deal or no deal and more), live blackjack, roulette, baccarat, dice and more.

Live support very helpful and solving any issues in matter of minutes, no issues with withdrawals, and the one of the best things…DIVIDENDS! every 12 hours in BTC, ETH, USDT and TRX(I heard LTC and DOGE are coming soon).

Nothing much to add to the previous replies. The site is just 1.5 months old and the development has been impressive. They are still having some delays on deposits (sometimes) but we are told that this week an update will be deployed to improve that. I would also like to see some improvements in the mobile version of the site.

What I like the most is that they listen to the community and you can talk to site owners at any time, make suggestions or get answers to any question you could have, its all about transparency.

The launch events have been so generous and I’m quite sure there are many more to come. As a CHIP holder I can only hope that the word spreads and the site gets more volume over time.
