BetUS is an online casino and sportsbook that has been operational since 1994. After not allowing new players for a while, they re-opened their doors for sign-ups in mid-2020 and are now back up and running again in full force. BetUS utilizes the moniker America’s favorite sportsbook and has former NFL star Warren Sapp as its spokesperson. Licensed in Curacao, it accepts players from most regions, including the US. It has a decent casino section and a racebook. Currently, the site is only available in English and accepts only four cryptocurrencies.
Upon first glance, the BetUS interface looks pretty standard. Design-wise, it is similar to other top competitors, and like most gambling sites, it is very fond of the color blue. The promo banners add a dose of visual clutter that smudges a clean design.
Navigation here is easy. To open an account, you have to click the join button in the top-right of the screen. Once you do, the site will redirect you to a page where you must fill out a bunch of personal info. You’ll have to verify your account after you finish this process and know that you get an auto-generated code for a username, which you will need when asking for support.
We suggest going through the Help section before betting. It should have all the info you need to get started here. You can also find some guides in the site’s footer.
Games offered by BetUS
To access the selection of BetUS games, you have to select – casino from the panel below the top navigation bar. It will take you to the online casino section of the site. The games will divide into slots, blackjack, other RNG tables, live dealer games, video poker, and specialty games.
The slot category houses 144 titles from less-respected providers such as Nucleus Gaming and Digital Gaming Solutions. In all honesty, these reel-spinners cannot compete with top-end industry products and are only here to add a touch of diversity to your gaming experience. The RNG tables are also rather rudimentary in gameplay and graphics. They lag behind products from competitors such as Authentic Gaming and Betsoft. If you click on the live dealer tab, the site pops open a window that provides you access to the Visionary iGaming Lobby. There, you can play at seven blackjack tables, four roulette ones, and two baccarat as well as Super6 ones.
There are 24 virtual video poker machines here, and they include 2 Ways Royal, Aces & Faces, All American, Deuces Wild, and Tens or Better. In the specialty category, you can find eight titles, of which four are Keno games.
You can go through a tournament calendar inside the game page. It tells you the schedule of all the upcoming competitions and their respective buy-ins. If you do not wish to register for one, you can still check its scoreboard.
The sports betting section lets you bet on nineteen sports, horse racing, entertainment, and politics. In-play betting is an option, and the platform features a decent bet-builder function. However, the latter does not allow the possibilities available at other top competitors. There are not as many specific betting markets as we have seen elsewhere.
Esports betting has its dedicated page, and here you can place wagers on Esports teams competing in games such as Counter-Strike, League of Legends, Dota 2, Star-Craft 2, Overwatch, and Fifa. Madden has an exclusive tab in the sportsbook. You can also make outright Esports bets here. Wager on who will win Esports championships and leagues.
There is no BetUS mobile app. We inquired if there is one in the works, and the site staff told us – no. So, we accessed the BetUS mobile version via our Android (Pie) phone, through Chrome. We have to say, if the iOS experience is similar to the one we had on Android, we see why this operator is not looking into developing dedicated software. What we saw via a mobile browser was excellent.
We ran multiple games in fun-play mode and faced no issues when playing any of them. The speed with which pages loaded was far faster than most casinos/sportsbooks we’ve tested, and navigation was easy, at least to the trained eye. You have a drop-down menu accessible via a three-bar icon in the top right. It lets you move around through the different sections of the platform. A navigation bar at the bottom of your screen allows you to gain quick access to the live chat, the cashier tab, and your account page.
Design-wise, the platform manages to cram a lot of content into a mobile screen. Some text is a touch too large, and the leading between the footer links is a bit too big. However, while that may be visually unattractive, it is so that those links are more easily clickable. All in all, the BetUS mobile site does the job it sets out to do.
Deposits & Withdrawals
We feature BetUS on our site because despite allowing you to use bank transfer and popular card options (Visa and MasterCard), the platform also accepts four cryptos. These are:
- Bitcoin Cash
To fund your BetUS account, you’ll need to click the Quick Deposit button in the top navigation bar. From there, you can select your crypto of choice, and enter your desired deposit amount, and pick how you would like to receive the site’s wallet address. You have three options, a secure message, an SMS, and email.
The minimum deposit amount is equivalent to $10 in your chosen cryptocurrency, and the maximum is $50,000. You need at least $10 in your account to request a BetUS withdrawal, and the most you can take out per transaction is $5,000. Before you can remove your funds from the platform’s hands, you have to verify your identity. If you are using a credit card, you’ll need to submit copies of your card and copies of a signed government-issued ID. Note that the site has a reputation for slow identity verification. So, it may take a few days before this process finishes.
BetUS Bonuses & Promotions
On the BetUS promotional side of things, we have three different welcome offers. The first one is a general 125% deal offer that can get you up to $3,125 in free-play funds with the promo code – JOIN125. It divides into a 100% up to $2,500 sportsbook section and a 25% up to $625 casino bonus. The first has an x10 rollover, and the second has an x30 wagering requirement. It expires in 14 days and requires a minimum deposit of $100.
Crypto bettors get treated to a 150% Crypto Registration Bonus, which will match their first deposit – 150% up to $3,000. It also divides into two parts, a 100% matching bonus used on the sportsbook and a 50% one for the casino section. It also expires in 14 days and carries with it an x30 requirement. However, it has a smaller minimum deposit then the offer mentioned above, of $50. The code is SU150CRYPT. There is also a different 1st Crypto Deposit Bonus, which matches crypto funds 150% up to $7,500.
The Casino Welcome Bonus will match your initial deposit 150% up to $3,000. It has the same terms as the crypto deal, and the bonus code here is CAS150.
BetUS also offers multiple daily casino promotions. The site also has a 50% Re-Up Sports bonus, where existing players get a matching percentage depending on their deposit. It starts from 10% for $100 to 50% for funding their account with over $10,000. Slot enthusiasts can benefit from a 125% Slots Bonus that can go up to $1,250 in bonus money. Plus, BetUS also offers a unique 10% cash plus 20% casino bonus, which can net you up to $2,500 in bonus money. The minimum deposit to clarify for this deal is $100.
The site also has a referral program that can land you some decent coin.
Is there a BetUS VIP program, a loyalty scheme of some sort here? Yes, but if you navigate to the loyalty tab, you get greeted with a message saying call 1-888-512-3887 to learn how to join this program.
Thankfully, the email support representative we contacted was kind enough to explain the scheme before we began laying down bets. They have a tiered rewards system at work, which you advance through via point-collection. How can you earn such points? Naturally, by betting. Once your wagers get processed, your points balance instantly rises. The team reviews accounts quarterly, and those that have acquired enough points to move up a tier jump to the appropriate one. Points do not only help you move up through the BetUS Rewards system. You can also use them for free-play.
You get one point for every $1 bet between $5 and $500. For example, if you bet $100, you would get 100 points. You get one point for every $2 bet between $501 and $100. Meaning, if you stake $600, you will get 550 points. You get one point for every $4 bet above $1,001. So, if you put down $1,400, you’ll get 850 points in your balance.
There are six tiers in this system. They are Blue, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Black. To reach the final level, you need more than 350,000 points. Perks of this scheme include free payouts, better bonuses, monthly tournament entries, and more.
BetUS Customer Support
As always, we kick off our exploration of the BetUS support options by giving the BetUS live chat a try. We popped its window open by clicking the blue speech icon in the bottom right of the screen. We got access to a support representative immediately. He told us that he needs our password and ID before assisting. We have never come across a gambling site where staff demanded our password so that they could answer simple questions. When we asked what would happen if we didn’t provide it, he told us to call BetUS phone support at 1-800-792-3887 and ask for assistance that way. We opted against this option. Perhaps, we should have opened a dummy account and given the representative that password to see how things would have developed.
Instead, we gave the BetUS email support a try, sending a message containing our usual three test questions. We received a more-than satisfactory reply within an hour.
There is a BetUS Help center, which you can access via the site’s footer, under information. Hit the Help & FAQ option, the eighth one down. It should take you to the Help page, which divides into five categories. These are general, account, sportsbook, racebook, and casino help. Each one contains two to four sub-pages. Some have detailed guides, and others are single pages with several questions and answers. The casino help section is impressive, as it has comprehensive guides concerning all the table games featured on the site. It’s something that we rarely see. The Help Center is extensive and worthy of praise.
BetUS has a gaming license from Gaming Curacao. Given that Gaming Curacao is a master license holder (Dutch Antilles Management N.V.), technically, this platform has a sub-license. We have talked about Curacao licenses to death on this site. Overall, as far as online casinos go, they are not nearly as credible as ones from the UKGC or MGA. However, they are the crypto-standard, and Curacao’s master license holders were among the first to regulate crypto gambling sites. BetUS seems to be one of many gaming sites to have gotten a license in February of last year, as we’ve seen the same template certification at numerous platforms, all featuring a February issue date.
The site’s terms make frequent mention that you must comply with the gambling regulations in your country of residence and those in Curacao. You should not be legally able to bet/play here if you reside in one of the following countries: France, Germany, Canada, Costa Rica, Curacao, the Nederlands, Panama, and the Philippines.
Can we give a bad review to a site that has been in business for twenty-six years? They have to be doing something right if they’ve lasted that long. Well, we did notice that there are many player complaints regarding slow payouts and drawn-out KYC procedures. So, if you plan on playing here, look out for those. Also, the slot games are from medium to low-end providers. Thus, you cannot experience the best that the industry offers when it comes to casino games, including RNG tables. The mobile version was excellent, and the email support was helpful. It only accepts four cryptocurrencies and has a payment interface that is missing some options that we are used to seeing at top crypto casinos. That said, if you want to bet on sports, this is a decent place to do it. Keep in mind what we mentioned above.
