Fans Skeptical as XQC claims no Gambling Obligations in KICK Contract
Fans of popular Twitch and Kick streamer Felix “xQc” Lengyel have responded with skepticism after he claimed that his very lucrative contract with the streaming platform, which has ties to crypto gambling website Stake.com, does not require him to engage in gambling activities.
During a recent stream, xQc addressed his contractual status with Kick, emphasizing that his two-year deal worth $100 million, signed in 2023, did not include any obligations related to gambling. Despite this assertion, xQc has previously hosted streams sponsored by gambling companies.
Digging Deeper into the Contract
Explaining his contract further, xQc stated that there were no specific hourly requirements for his streams Kick. However, fans remained doubtful, with one even commenting that xQc is simply a gambling addict.
xQc, who gained fame for his “gamba” content on Twitch before the platform prohibited Stake.com, ceased streaming gambling-related content for some time until he signed with Kick in June 2023. Despite this, he has revealed that his contract with Kick also does not stipulate a minimum number of hours for gambling-related streams.
He emphasized that whenever he engaged in gambling streams, it was of his own volition. He also mentioned that had he been required to meet specific hour requirements, he would have completed them in one extended gambling stream.
The clip garnered various reactions from fans, some expressing doubt regarding xQc’s claims about his contractual obligations.
Successful Streamer
xQc is one of the most successful streamers on both Twitch and Kick. In 2023, he emerged as one of Twitch’s top earners, reportedly making $318,821 per month solely from Twitch streaming.
Despite ranking fourth on Amazon Slots’ list of top Twitch earners, his $100 million deal with Kick further bolstered his earnings. However, the landscape of top earners on Twitch has seen shifts, with creators like Ninja and Nickmercs transitioning to Kick due to lucrative non-exclusive deals, potentially expanding their earnings beyond what Twitch alone reveals.
In other news, xQc is preparing for a collaboration with fellow Kick streamer and Kick co-owner Adin Ross. Adin invited xQc to join him in Miami to host game shows and other streaming events, to which xQc has confirmed his participation.
