Theme & Design
Choco Reels came out a year after Sweet Bonanza, and the two share plenty of similarities. We are not saying that Wazdan ripped off Pragmatic Play, as the visuals both slots utilize are commonplace in the interactive gaming sector. For some reason, they appeal to players, despite being generic. So, if you have ever played Sweet Bonanza, it may prepare you for what you will see in this game. It too features landscapes made out of sugar wool and candy canes.
The theme here is precisely what the slot’s name suggests it is, chocolate reels. The reels are made out of chocolate, as the whole grid looks like a big Choco bar framed by a candy cane. Behind it is the mentioned scenery. Mountains of sugar wool and whip creams stretch out to the horizon, with lollipops sticking out here and there.
The free spins meter is on the right side of your screen, represented by a segmented syrup bottle. A tube connects it to the reel grid, and between the two is the pink spin button, the most prominent one inside the buttons panel at the bottom of the page. On the right side of this panel, aside from the spin button, you can also find the variance setting, the auto-spin function, and the game speed adjuster. On the left side of this panel are the mute, info, help, and Bonus Buy buttons. In the middle, you can select your bet size.
Looks-wise, this is a colorful game whose graphics are not very inspiring. The symbol animations do spruce things up a bit, and the soundtrack fits the theme well.

Any Choco Reels gaming session starts with a 2-4-6-6-4-2 reel grid with 2,403 paylines. Chocolate squares block the symbol positions in each corner of the grid, three apiece. After you land a winning combo of three or more identical symbols, two grid positions unlock, which increases the ways to win. New sweets fall in the place of the ones that were a part of the winning combo. If the chocolate-smudged beetle symbol appears on the reels, it also will unlock two more positions. You trigger the Choco Spins Bonus when you release all the symbol positions. Then you get access to the full 6×6 grid with all 45,656 available paylines.
The default RTP of Choco Reels is 96.22%, and the variance is adjustable. The minimum bet is $0.20, and the maximum one is $100. The max exposure is a decent x9,500. This means the most you can win in this slot is a prize of $950,000.
When it comes to symbols, there are six low-paying and five high-paying ones. On the low end, we have a candy cane, a green twist, a cylindrical purple sweet, a square blue one, a pink-blue piece of candy, and an orange slice. The latter is the most valuable from this batch, and six slices will get you a prize of x1. The high-paying symbols are a yellow-orange sweet, a green-red one, a white-pink spiral, and a lollipop. The latter from this group is the most valuable, and six lollipops will get you a prize of x10 your wager.
All pay symbols have to connect left to right. The Scatter is a donut, and the Wild is the word wild. It substitutes all others except for the previously mentioned beetle symbol and the Scatter.
Bonus Features
We already explained some of the bonus features when talking about the game mechanics. Once you manage to unlock all the reel positions following a set of wins or with the help of the beetle, you get six free spins. After each complimentary reel rotation, a win multiplier increases by x1, and you have access to all 46,656 ways to win in this mode.
Landing three Scatters on the reels gets you ten free spins. When inside this round, a new symbol comes into play. A 3FS icon may appear anywhere on the grid, and if it does, it will award you three more free reel rotations. Each win in this round increases your multiplier by x1.
