Blazing Clusters Slot Review
We have been talking a lot about Red Tiger lately. The Malta-based developer, operating under the Evolution umbrella, seems to have kicked things into high gear in 2021. They have been releasing more games than ever, tearing up the top one-hundred chart. In 2019, the company founded an in-house developed studio titled R7. Since then, this entity has managed to create several top-end products. These include Reel Keeper, Aztec Spins, and Diamond Blitz. In the first half of December 2021, it set loose Blazing Clusters. It is a retro-themed game that implements modern-day slot mechanics. The combo of these two allowed this R7 product to gain a top fifty ranking and a look from us. Below, we analyze where is all this Blazing Clusters hype coming from and if it is well-deserved or not.

Theme & Design
Blazing Clusters utilizes the fruit machine motif. For those few people that have stumbled upon our website but do not know what this term means, it is a British phrase for slot games. Naturally, its origin stems from the fruit symbols that older gambling devices utilized. These are cherries, lemons, and grapes. That is pretty much it, regarding the theme of this reel-spinner. Its attractiveness mainly lies in its gameplay.
The visual presentation here is rudimentary by modern-day standards. Yet, this product does not attempt to wow anyone with jaw-dropping imagery. It features flat graphics that have a 90s vibe. Some of the flame animations reminded us of some old-school, mid-1990s PC titles. There isn’t much to talk about concerning the look of this R7 product. We cannot criticize it because the developer’s intentions are clear. We did like the music they used here. Though, we found some of the sound effects annoying. Particularly those that played when Wilds landed.
You can find the spin and turbo-spin buttons in the bottom right corner of your screen. The bet-adjuster and the auto-play functions are in your lower left. At the top of your game screen is your account balance info, the mute and settings button, as well as the full-screen option.
Specs & Gameplay
Blazing Clusters implements a 7×7 layout, and the cluster pays mechanic. That latter means that there are no traditional paylines here. To snag a prize, all you have to do is form clusters of five or more matching symbols. A cluster is when a group of identical symbols are adjacent to each other, horizontally or vertical. When five or more are, they disappear, allowing new ones to drop into their place. That is the avalanche mechanic. Bet sizes on this R7 slot are in the $0.1 to $80 range. Its default RTP is 94.74%. However, it can go up to 95.72% and as low as 90.66%. The variance here is medium-high, and the max exposure is a disappointing x1,201.
The low-paying symbols of Blazing Clusters are cherries, limes, oranges, plumbs, and watermelons. These payout rewards range from x2 to x4 for groups or thirty or more adjacent symbols. The high-paying ones are sevens, diamonds, bells, and horseshoes. These yield rewards from x15 to x 30 for thirty or more adjacent symbols.
The Wild here is the word itself, and the Scatter is the phrase Free Spins.
Hitting three or more Scatters will supply you with eight complimentary reel rotations. If any additional Scatters fall onto the grid, each one will provide two extra reel rotations. Note that there is a higher probability of you activating a Wild Rush in this mode than the base gameplay. Moreover, in this round, the Blazing Multiplier feature may trigger. It brings random multipliers onto the reels up to a max value of x20.
Remember that landing a Scatter in the free spins round means you get awarded an extra complimentary reel rotation.
Blazing Clusters attempts to fuse an old look with modern gameplay. That is something that, in our opinion, has not been successfully accomplished here. The game plays at a decent pace. However, we found its audio-visual presentation annoying and its max prize underwhelming. We consider Blazing Clusters a pass, and we have yet to figure out why many people are playing this game. Perhaps a casino network has tied it in with an attractive promo or two.
