Stock Market Live Game Review

GOSU GAME REVIEW

There’s plenty of money to be won and lost on the stock market. What if we told you that you could wager on the stock market and have a considerably less risky chance of making a buck or two? Well, we’re going to encourage you to play Stock Market, although not quite as you might imagine it. We are, of course, talking about one of Evolution Gaming’s more inventive and imaginative live dealer casino games. Has Evolution Gaming really gone and made a live casino game out of the stock market? Yes, they have. These guys will make a game out of anything – the question is, is Stock Market Live any good? It’s time to find out as we put it to the test.

Theme and Design

Stock Market Live is a game that can be complicated if you don’t pay attention to the game specifics, namely the unique rules that are in place. At face value, its Stock Market Live looks like any other crash game. However, there’s considerably more going on than simply pulling out before everything crashes. Don’t worry, though, as we’ll walk you through everything you need to know.

Aesthetically, Stock Market Live isn’t easy on the eye, but it isn’t intended to be. This is a game that is designed to mimic the look and feel of spreadsheets and stocks, right down to charts and valuations. For what it’s worth, Evolution Gaming has done a stellar job recreating the atmosphere and visual look of the stock market in this live dealer casino game, but how does the gameplay?

Stock Market Live Game

Specs and Gameplay

The first thing to note is that you’re not really playing the stock markets. You’re playing a live casino game, similar to how you’re not really betting on football matches in Football Studio. It’s just a game. Now that we’ve got that disclaimer out of the way, what do you need to know?

Stock Market Live is a game where you’re trying to predict whether a Trading Session will close above or below the market value at the start of the round. Each Trading Session (or round, if you prefer) takes place immediately after the conclusion of the last, so if you want to bet consecutively, you’ll need to be on the ball. This is because your balance is considered your “portfolio”. Thus, when one Trading Session ends, your portfolio, or balance, moves onward into the next round.

Now, earlier, we mentioned how this isn’t just a crash game. The reason we said that is because the objective is to sell your shares and cash out to turn a profit before your stocks drop. If you leave your money in, and the Trading Session ends up being worth more than it started, you’ve increased the value of your portfolio, but you’ll still want to cash out eventually. The trick is to do so before shares plummet. In short, you’re looking to pull out of the game at the optimum time.

How to Bet and Win

Games begin in a Betting Phase, where you can bet up or down, whether you believe the stock will be worth more or less at the end of the Trading Session than its starting value. Your bet is added to your portfolio (balance), and the Trading Session begins. RNGs determine the fluctuating value of the market, and these range from -100% up to +100%.

You will gain or lose your bet based on the value of the stock and your initial wager. For instance, if you bet on it going up (or down) and it does so by 50%, then your win is worth 50% of whatever you bet. If it goes up 100%, it’s worth 100% of your bet. If you guess incorrectly, you’ll lose whatever that percentage of your bet happens to be. Any remaining balance in your portfolio is then carried on to the next Trading Session and so on until you cash out. You can, however, switch your bet to the opposite choice (up or down), top up your bet (by increasing your stake), cash out, or leave things as they are.

Cashing out is the primary objective, and every time you do so, you’ll receive all your winnings, minus a 1% commission fee for doing so. Stock Market Live has an RTP rate of 99%, which is impressive. Betting windows last no more than fifteen seconds, and stakes cost between $0.50 and $100 a bet.

Bonus Features

There aren’t really any bonus features in Stock Market, but there are several variants of the game for you to choose from. The availability of these depends on your region. One variant allows you to play with a live video stream, and it is up to you to cash out between Trading Sessions. Another variant automatically ends after a Trading Session, so it doesn’t carry on to the next betting round. There are also two other variants you can play that are based on the same mechanics as those listed above, although they do not feature a live human host and video stream. They are, in effect, RNG versions of the game. This means that Stock Market Live can work in the same way as any of the First-Person live dealer games from this provider. The choice is yours.

There is one other feature we’d like to mention. This is how to view the statistics tracker or charts in this game. Stock Market Live allows you to view them as Candlestick, Linear (Long), Linear (Short), or Percentage-based results. This has no impact on the outcome of the game and is purely there to provide an appealing aesthetic option for players based on how they prefer to view the rise and fall of stocks. Obviously, in a stats tracker with various colors, green means a rise in value, while red means a drop.

GOSU Verdict

Evolution Gaming really can seemingly come up with a casino gambling game out of anything. Stock Market Live is a fine example of that. Admittedly, this game isn’t much different from a coin-tossing game, albeit with a crash element to it. However, it’s been dressed up to imitate the stock market, and to be fair, you do get that impression when playing the game. You’ve ultimately got a very nice looking fifty-fifty live game of chance, and, as such, strategies aren’t going to be effective playing this game. If you have a crack at it, and we certainly do encourage you to do that, just remember to cash out those stocks while you’re ahead. You won’t ever win immense sums in this live casino game, so there’s no harm in walking away with what you have if you make a small profit.

Stock Market Live is available to play at almost all Evolution Gaming live casinos and crypto casino sites. The version of the game available to you will depend on your jurisdiction, but with four different variants out there, players shouldn’t have any issue playing at least one version of this game.
