Theme and Design

Gold Bar Roulette immediately looks appealing. Who isn’t going to rub their hands at the backdrop of a series of golden bars located behind a roulette wheel? While Lightning Blackjack was a far cry from how Lightning Roulette was played, this title has a lot more in common with the multipliers in that blackjack game than the roulette version. Gold Bar Roulette is presented entirely in English. However, the UI and menus can be displayed in other languages. There are over fifteen of these for you to choose from. The game is streamed from one of Evolution Gaming’s hubs in Latvia and is fully mobile optimized. Firstly, Gold Bar Roulette is loosely based on European Roulette, so you don’t need to worry about unfavorable house edges and double zero pockets here. The game is more oriented toward the game show array of games, rather than classic casino gambling like you get with Lightning Roulette and other Evolution-developed roulette games.

To begin with, you will place a conventional roulette bet using the on-screen options. This bet will be no different than in any basic roulette game and must fall somewhere between the $0.50 and $10,000.00 table limits. If you place any bet other than a straight-up bet, that’s where the game ends – it is a conventional European Roulette release. You will receive the same basic payouts you would do in any basic live roulette title with customary rules. However, if you place straight-up bets, that’s where the extra elements start coming into play.

There is an in-game currency in use in Gold Bar Roulette, and you guessed it – they are gold bars. You cannot purchase these – you must win them. You can only win them via straight-up bets. At the start of the game, the dealer will showcase their vault, and you’ll be in with a shout of winning between one and twenty bars. If you win your straight-up bet, those bars are yours.

Each bar is worth an 88x multiplier. That multiplier is tied to the stake you used to trigger the win. These are known as Gold Bar Multipliers and Gold Bar Values. You can see how many groovy gold bars you have and the multipliers and values of them on the screen at any time.

Armed with gold bars, you can decide to place straight-up bets with those gold bars, with or without accompanying cash bets, if you wish. If you win a straight-up bet with a gold bar, you’ll receive a 24:1 payout multiplied by the Gold Bar Multiplier (and Value). You can place several gold bars on the same straight-up bet. It is, therefore, possible to walk away with prizes worth $500,000 in this game.

It is important to note that each gold bar will last for 180 days after it has been won. They will be stored in your account, so they will be there if you leave and join later. However, after 180 days, any unused gold bars will be removed.

Gold Bar Roulette definitely offers you a different way to play live roulette, and as you can see, it is very much like Lightning Blackjack. However, you should note that the payout for a straight-up bet in conventional roulette games is 35:1. In Gold Bar Roulette (when playing with gold bars), it drops to 24:1.
